This weekend, ACCIONA will be taking part in 'Earth Hour', a movement created by the WWF organization that has become a global campaign to protect the environment, supported by citizens, organizations, government offices and companies, and a symbol of the fight against climate change.
The company will participate this Saturday from 8:30 pm to 9:30pm by turning off the illuminated signs on its most important buildings in Spain, located at Avenida de Europa 10, 18 and 20 and at Anabel Segura 11, in Alcobendas, Madrid, the buildings at Sarriguren 3 and 5 in Navarre, and those in Erandio, Bilbao, as a symbolic gesture of this global action for the environment. An announcement has also been made over the intranet, calling on all of the company's employees to join this cause and to share it over their social networks.
This symbolic action aims to raise awareness in society about the need to take measures against climate change and contaminating emissions, as well as to save energy and reduce light pollution. In 2014, the company managed to prevent the emission of approximately 16.3 million tons of CO2 and it also published a series of articles related to energy saving and efficiency.
Join Earth Hour at #EarthHour to help fight against climate change.
