ACCIONA’s commitment to reducing CO2 has been recognized by CDP with the company’s inclusion in the “CDP Supplier Climate A List”, in which only 2% of the companies evaluated worldwide are listed. This index, prepared by CDP, certifies the company’s excellence as a supplier/vendor of products and services based on low-carbon business models.

In drawing up this list, in which ACCIONA appears for the third consecutive year, 3,932 companies were evaluated independently. ACCIONA figures among the 2% of companies awarded an ‘A’ grading (the highest possible) for its performance in the climate area, reaching this position in a world ranking based on vendors’ efforts to offset climate change last year.

ACCIONA’s presence in the ‘CDP Supplier Climate A List’ ratifies the positioning of its range of services to public and private customers that incorporate sustainability into their strategy, with a global vision that includes the entire supply chain. The choice of vendors that have sustainability criteria is increasingly valued, both in national and international public tenders, and they are gradually becoming either a prerequisite or an aspect that earns points.

CDP is an international non-profit organization that provides a prestigious global system of environmental communication. It represents 75 multinationals in the CDP Supply Chain program that require information on the environmental performance of their vendors in the area of Climate Change. It operates with an average budget of 2 billion dollars per year.
