ACCIONA Service, through its Facility Services business, has been awarded the food hygiene cleaning services contract at the Mercavalencia facilities for the abattoir and the meat market.
The four-year contract is worth a total of approximately €2.2 million.
The new services provided by ACCIONA Service at Mercavalencia include improvements in quality control and technology-based measures to organise the service and optimise the cleaning tasks.
In the area of quality, it includes the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) for the sanitation process, which evaluates the potential risks involved in the operations carried out at the Mercavalencia facilities. Bioluminescence techniques are used to verify the cleaning and disinfecting protocols, and ongoing training will be provided for workers in this area.
Hard-to-reach vertical surfaces, such as walls, ceilings, structures, etc. will be cleaned using smart ECOTEK equipment, which uses steam to ensure a more complete disinfection process.
To optimise the management of the service, ACCIONA Service will also use a CTI tool to create work, pre-operation and supervision roadmap reports, providing real-time information.
