    AMARELEJA SOLAR PV PLANT

    With 45.78 MW capacity, the plant produces 93 million kilowatt-hour (kWh) of clean energy, equivalent to the demand of around 30,000 Portuguese homes, avoiding the emission of 89,383 metric tonnes of CO2 to the atmosphere in coal-fired power stations. It was installed over an area of 250 hectares in the municipaly of Amareleja, South Portugal. When connected to the grid in 2008 it was the world-largest solar PV plant using solar trackers, which backs the ability of ACCIONA to succeed in installing utility-scale PV plants. Mitsubishi Corporation has a 34% stake in this asset.

    Alqueva Dam

    Alqueva Dam

    Project executed in the 1950's. The project consisted of the construction of the largest-capacity reservoir in Europe, with 4,150 hm3 in the international stretch of the Guadiana River. It also has a 240 MW pumped hydroelectric power plant (two 120 MW groups). The use of water from the reservoir is mainly destined for irrigating 110,000 hectares in the Portuguese region of Alentejo. This strategic aquifer reserve created an artificial lake of 250 km2 in surface area, 1,100 km of shoreline and an 82 km-long stretch that ends in the municipality of Badajoz.

    Infante Don Henrique Bridge

    Infante Don Henrique Bridge

    It is the last bridge constructed between Porto and Gaia. It was constructed to replace the upper deck of the Luis I Bridge, remodeled for the yellow line (Sao Joao/Santo Ovídio Hospital) of the Porto Metro. It was constructed in the center of the historical area, joining the neighborhoods of Fontainhas (Porto) and Serra do Pilar (Vila Nova de Gaia). It has a length of 370 meters and a width of 20 meters

    Gare do Oriente

    Gare do Oriente

    Gare do Oriente is one of the main transport hubs in Lisbon. It was designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. It was finished in 1998 for the Expo '98 world's fair in Parque das Nações, where it is located. Oriente Station is one of the world's largest stations, with 75 million passengers per year which makes it as busy as Grand Central Terminal in New York.

    17 WIND FARMS

    ACCIONA Energy has a wide presence in the Portuguese wind power industry. It owns and operates 17 wind farms, mainly of small size, installed in different regions. They total 120 MW capacity and 66 wind turbines.
