ALLIANCE. The international manufacturer will sell ACCIONA vehicles in its dealerships in 13 countries.
TWO MODELS. Silence launches the ‘S04 Cargo’ and the ‘Silence Van’ prototype, designed to make urban delivery more sustainable and efficient.
GROWTH. The brand’s battery swap station network will start its international expansion in France this summer.
Silence and Nissan announced today the expansion of their agreement signed a year ago for the international manufacturer to distribute ACCIONA's electric vehicles in 13 countries across Europe. In addition, the Spanish company will launch a new line of light vehicles specialized in last-mile urban delivery.
Since last year, Nissan has been selling Silence’s electric motorcycles and nanocars in France, Germany and Italy, to which it will add the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Greece, Poland and Ireland this year.
The vehicles on sale include the S04 with two available versions: the L7e, with the highest performance, which has a range of 149 kilometers and can reach a top speed of 85 kilometers/hour, and the L6e, which has a range of up to 175 kilometers and a top speed of 45 kilometers/hour.
All Silence vehicles share the same removable battery system, for which ACCIONA will expand its network of battery swap stations across Europe. The first battery stations outside Spain will be installed in France this summer and the network is expected to reach other European countries later in 2025 and in 2026, located at gas stations, parking lots, high-traffic areas and Nissan dealerships.
In Spain, where Silence vehicles can be purchased from the brand's own dealership network, there are more than 150 battery stations in the country's main cities.
MORE CAPACITY
The new S04 Cargo is a car for last-mile transport based on the S04 nanocar, adapted to maximize its storage capacity, which reaches 414 liters.
This roomy interior space, despite the vehicle's small dimensions (2.2 meters long and 1.2 meters wide), makes it a very efficient option in terms of energy consumption, maintenance and use of public space, while offering the same advantages as the S04, such as the option of removing the batteries and swapping them for charged ones or recharging them from a household socket.
Available in the L7e category, the S04 Cargo has a 14kW motor (with peak power of up to 22kW), which allows it to reach a top speed of 85 kilometers/hour, ideal for urban transport and adapted to travel on fast metropolitan highways. Its certified range is 157 kilometers, thanks to two removable batteries of 5.6kWh each.
The brand also unveiled the prototype of the future Silence Van, a larger vehicle offering up to 2,000 liters of storage capacity, with a length of 3.5 meters and a width of 1.5 meters. It will be available in two versions: a pickup model with an open cargo bed and a model for fully enclosed cargo transport, which will make it adaptable to different types of businesses and logistical needs.
Both models are being designed to offer a perfect balance between compact dimensions and maneuverability in urban areas, with zero emissions and the support of ACCIONA's battery swap station infrastructure.
All Silence models are digitally connected, allowing users to see in real time their location, battery level and battery station availability, and to unlock the doors with a smartphone. In addition, they incorporate keyless technology, facilitating shared use in delivery fleets, where it is common for the same vehicle to be driven by various users.
The vehicles can be bought in two ways: with a battery service subscription or with a purchased battery. The former reduces the vehicle’s initial cost by up to 35%, depending on the model, with a monthly fee based on how many times it is charged. This offers savings compared to combustion-engine vehicles for urban spaces.
