- EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE: The certificate recognizes the integration of accessibility for the entire work life at ACCIONA
- ACCESSIBILITY OFFICE: The new Accessibility Office unifies and boosts all of the company’s initiatives in this regard
ACCIONA has obtained the “Organization Committed to 360° Accessibility” certification awarded by AENOR, becoming the first IBEX 35 company to receive it in the “Employee Experience” category.
This certification attests that Campus ACCIONA implements measures to ensure that accessibility goes beyond one-off actions and becomes a continuous, comprehensive process across all aspects of its employees’ work life, as well as in the workplace services and sites (as in Acciona Campus and other corporate facilities).
To obtain this certification, ACCIONA applied the methodology of ILUNION Accesibilidad, which included an evaluation of the company’s situation, a strategic plan to improve accessibility comprehensively and the creation of governance systems to ensure the achievement of the planned targets.
This certificate recognizes the initiatives already implemented by the company, such as training human resources teams to integrate accessibility into recruitment processes, developing technological solutions based on artificial intelligence and geolocation to enhance the autonomy of people with visual impairments in the workplace, and the implementation of an accessible digital onboarding platform for people with cognitive disabilities.
ACCESSIBILITY OFFICE
In line with this commitment, the company has recently established the Accessibility Office with the aim of identifying, coordinating, and promoting all initiatives in this regard.
Its functions include advising on accessibility needs and available resources in the workplace, leading updates in line with regulatory developments and technical trends in accessibility, coordinating the monitoring of the action plan and related indicators, and promoting continuous improvement in processes that impact work life.
The goal is for accessibility to extend beyond disability. It is a universal value that enhances the employee experience and takes into account each person’s individual circumstances and needs.
Accessibility is part of ACCIONA’s People strategy, which places people at the center of its management and business model. The company works to develop transformative, safe and inclusive work environments, to attract and retain diverse talent, and to foster responsible leadership. The strategy combines diversity, equal opportunities, professional development and well-being, with a comprehensive approach across all countries and business lines. It also incorporates measurable targets and monitoring systems that reinforce constant improvement in the employee experience.
