ACCIONA, in consortium with ACS Infrastructure and Meridiam, has been engaged to finance, design, build, operate and maintain the SR400 Express Lanes highway in Atlanta, Georgia.
The consortium will undertake and manage the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of the highway extension for a period of 55 years.
The project aims to improve the flow of traffic along the route. It spans a total of 25 kilometres and features two express lanes lying between North Springs Station and north of McFarland Parkway. The project also includes another express lane heading from McGinnis Ferry Road to McFarland Parkway and the remodelling of bridges such as Pitts Road, Roberts Drive and Kimball Bridge.
The 25-km SR400 Express Lanes highway, with a project budget of $4.6B, is a further show of ACCIONA’s firm commitment to the US transportation infrastructure, as the company steadily consolidates its presence in the country by undertaking key technology and sustainable development projects.
