Irrigation Communities in Jaen

ACCIONA provides comprehensive technical assistance and consulting services to 15 Irrigation Communities in the province of Jaén, offering technical advice to 6,171 farmers for a territory covering 14,885 hectares. The contracts are focused on the optimisation of exploitation and management and on improvements in the use of water and energy resources of the facilities and infrastructures of the Irrigation Communities.

The services include, among others, the supervision and management of infrastructure, support to Government Bodies, administrative and regulatory procedures, and consultancy on agricultural matters.

Water consumption is essential for crop irrigation and food production, which ranks among the highest demands on this resource in Spain. In this way, ACCIONA makes its experience and knowledge of sustainable and innovative technologies available to the agriculture sector to guarantee water supplies and optimise asset management.
