Silence, ACCIONA's electric vehicle brand, has opened its first fourteen battery swap stations in Paris and the Parisian metropolitan area, and will expand its network with new ones across the French Riviera, including the cities of Nice and Cannes, before the end of the year.

The company's rollout in France replicates the model already established in Spain, where Silence has set up a network of more than 160 battery swap stations. These facilities allow Silence vehicle users to replace a flat battery with a fully charged one in just 30 seconds, a process that is even faster than refueling a conventional vehicle.

Most of the battery stations in France are located at Esso service stations, thanks to an agreement that allows the company to take advantage of their network and thus facilitate access for users. Other stations are located in strategic car parks and the brand's own spaces, such as the company's dealerships in Paris.

With the installation of the first battery swap stations in France, Silence is also introducing its monthly battery subscription system into this market, which is already on offer in Spain. Under this model, when purchasing a Silence vehicle without batteries, the cost is reduced by around 30%, without user concerns about technological obsolescence or battery maintenance.

Each subscription covers 12 battery cycles, equivalent to more than 1,500 km for the range of the NanoCar S04, the brand's four-wheeled electric vehicle.  
 

SILENCE ECOSYSTEM

Silence is a pioneer in France, offering two- and four-wheeled electric vehicles with the same removable trolley-style battery system, allowing all users to benefit from the same charging infrastructure.

The Silence S01 motorcycle, the best-selling electric motorcycle model in Europe for the last five years, offers up to 136 km of range with its 5.6 kWh battery, one of the most powerful in its category. In the case of the S01+ version, it reaches almost 120 km/h and outperforms 300 cc combustion-engine scooters in acceleration.

The 2025 version incorporates new features that reinforce its premium quality, such as a custom Shad seat and Öhlins rear suspension, ensuring high-level driving comfort and stability.

The NanoCar S04, available in France exclusively through the Nissan dealership network, is a light quadricycle sold in two categories. The first category offers the L6e models, approved as light quadricycles and accessible from the age of 14 with an AM license. The “Unico” version reaches a top speed of 45 km/h and offers a range of around 80 km on a single battery, which can be extended to 175 km in the two-battery configuration. The “Vivo” variant features additional equipment, such as a 7-inch TFT screen, a reinforced braking system, and multifunction steering wheel with call control. Both models have a power output of 6 kW (8.1 hp) and belong to the light urban vehicle segment.

The second category is the L7e “Plus” version, approved as a heavy quadricycle, which can be driven from the age of 16 with a B1 license or with a B license from the age of majority. This model has a power output of 14 kW (19 hp), reaches a top speed of 85 km/h, and offers up to 149 km of range, making it ideal for both urban and metropolitan travel. 

At 2.28 meters long and 1.27 meters wide, all S04 models are designed for agile driving in urban environments, including historic city centers and Low-Emission Zones (ZFE, Zones de Faibles Emissions). They feature a closed, air-conditioned cabin, a 247-liter trunk, and equipment typically found in higher segments, such as disc brakes, steering wheel controls, Bluetooth connectivity, and the MySilence app (for iOS and Android) for keyless access and battery control.
