  • FIRST HALF UPDATE: Silence achieved a record market share of 42.6% in electric scooters and 30.8% in electric microcars.
  • EUROPE: Silence ranked among the top four light electric scooters in Italy and France.

Silence, ACCIONA’s electric mobility brand, remained Spain’s leading player in the light electric vehicle market (L6e and L7e) in the first half of 2026.

Between January and June 2026, the company sold 1,179 electric scooters, up 78.4%, according to the latest figures published by industry association ANESDOR, which represents a 42.6% market share. Over the same period, Spain’s overall market for this segment declined by 1.4%.

By model, the Silence S01 and S01 Plus ranked first and fourth, respectively, in total sales among the country’s best-selling electric models. The new Silence S02 is already Spain’s second-best-selling electric scooter. An L1e version was launched in June, with a top speed of 45 km/h and available to riders aged 15 and older with an AM license. With these results, Silence has now led Spain’s two-wheel market for eight consecutive years.

Meanwhile, the Silence S04 remained the leader in electric microcar registrations, a position it has held for the past nine months. In May, it became the best-selling model across the L6 and L7 categories for the first time, including combustion-engine vehicles.

During the first half of the year, the S04 Ligero recorded 304 registrations and achieved a 24.4% market share. Across its L6e and L7e versions, Silence sold 384 units, reaching a 30.8% market share and posting growth of 204.8%. This performance came as Spain’s microcar market expanded by 55.6% during the first half of the year.

Since June, the S04 has featured a new online configurator that allows customers to personalize a range of exterior design elements, expanding the options available.

EUROPEAN EXPANSION

Silence’s progress in Spain has been accompanied by continued growth in other European markets.

In Italy, Silence ranked as the second-largest brand in the electric scooter market during the first half of the year, with 377 registrations and an 11.7% market share. It also ranked fourth in the microcar market, where the S04 recorded 328 registrations.

In France, the company ranked fourth in the electric scooter market, with 207 registrations and a 9.9% market share.

Silence vehicles feature proprietary technology based on removable batteries that are compatible with all its models and can be exchanged through ACCIONA’s battery-swapping network. The system allows users to replace a depleted battery with a fully charged one in approximately 30 seconds, supporting the intensive use of the vehicles by both individual customers and professional fleets.

The company operates more than 200 stations in Spain and continues to expand its network in France, where it currently has 20 stations.
