A business delegation from Texas headed by Secretary of State Rolando Pablos met this week in Navarra and Madrid with representatives of ACCIONA within the framework of a visit to Spain organized by the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The 17 members of the delegation were shown the Renewable Energy Control Center (CECOER) of ACCIONA Energía in Navarra, which manages the operation of more than 13,000 MW of renewable energies in 18 countries on the five continents, among them the recently-inaugurated San Román wind farm in Brownsville (southwest Texas), whose operating data they observed in real time.

The next visit was to the Nordex ACCIONA Windpower plant in Barasoain, where they were shown the assembly process for wind turbines, plus a 3-megawatt wind farm equipped with the company’s turbines.

The delegation was accompanied during the visits by Izaskun Goñi, Director-General of Economic Policy, Companies and Employment of the Government of Navarra.

The next day in Madrid, ACCIONA organized a private visit for the delegation to the “Treasures of the Hispanic Society of America” exhibition in the Prado Museum. They later met senior managers from the company, headed by Vice-president Juan Ignacio Entrecanales, during a dinner held in the museum.
