  • The award recognizes organizations that help facilitate access for young people with intellectual disabilities to qualified training, professional internships and employment opportunities.

ACCIONA has been awarded the “Institutional Talent” prize at the first edition of the Companies for Inclusion Awards, organized by Esfera Foundation.

The award recognizes organizations that help facilitate access for young people with intellectual disabilities to qualified training, professional internships and employment opportunities.

Daniel Grande, Legal Assistant at ACCIONA Energía, and his mentor, Álvaro San Felipe, Legal Manager at ACCIONA Energía, received the award during the ceremony held today, June 11th, in Leganés (Madrid). The event brought together social organizations, institutions and companies committed to promoting the labor inclusion of people with disabilities.

Since 2024, ACCIONA has operated a Disability Office, the first initiative of its kind among IBEX-listed companies. The office serves as a comprehensive advisory and individualized support hub for both employees and new hires with disabilities, as well as for managers and colleagues seeking guidance or support related to disability inclusion. The Disability Office consolidates the knowledge acquired by the company over more than three decades of active work in the integration of people with disabilities, making this know-how accessible to all areas and countries where it operates.

ACCIONA seeks to provide support and resources to employees with disabilities by promoting their professional development and well-being at work, while ensuring an inclusive and accessible employee experience.

People with disabilities currently make up 4% of ACCIONA's workforce, exceeding the requirements established by current legislation. The company has also recently been recognized for its inclusion efforts by organizations such as the Spanish Red Cross and Integra Foundation.

The Disability Office stems from ACCIONA's commitment to creating inclusive work environments, as it specifically seeks to increase workforce diversity, encouraging the presence of people with disabilities across all levels and areas of the company.

The Disability Office is another step forward in this commitment and forms part of the company's People strategy, which places employees at the center of corporate decision-making, fostering talent development and a positive impact on both employees and society as a whole.
