  • The certification recognizes the company's best practices in supply chain management, in line with its Sustainability Master Plan

ACCIONA has obtained the Sustainable Procurement certificate awarded by Spanish standardization association AENOR, based on the ISO 20400 standard. The certification recognizes the company's best practices in supply chain management, in line with its Sustainability Master Plan. These best practices are reflected in the SCRM supplier management model, which ensures compliance across the supply chain, and in the Sustainable Procurement Guide, which promotes the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria into procurement processes.

The certificate was presented by Nicolás Henríquez, Director of Business Development at AENOR, to Fernando Hinojosa, Director of Strategic Procurement at ACCIONA, and José Luis Blasco, Global Director of Sustainability at ACCIONA, during a ceremony held at the company's headquarters in Madrid.

ACCIONA's procurement model has been recognized by leading ratings such as the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), which places it in the 96th percentile in the Energy Utility category, and Ecovadis, which awarded the company's Construction division its Platinum medal.

This AENOR certification is a significant achievement for ACCIONA, given the complexity of its supply chain. The company has a total of 66,000 suppliers on its Procur-e registration and tender platform, and it adds an average of 10,000 new suppliers per year. In 2025, the company increased its volume of purchases classed as sustainable by 277% year-over-year, totaling €489 million.
