  • It is a seven-story building located on the site of the former AEG factory, now transformed by the company for residential, tertiary and commercial use with green spaces.

ACCIONA Living & Culture has sold to Ardian and Rockfield Real Estate a seven-story building located on the site of the former AEG factory in Terrassa, with student housing. The asset covers about 12,700m², including 358 rooms with space for 369 beds as well as indoor and outdoor common areas totaling more than 2,600m². The operation is worth €35.75 million.

The recently completed property will be a key part of the city’s university accommodation, as it is close to the main educational centers and the Nord train station, well connected to both the city center and Barcelona.

The building is part of the project currently developed by ACCIONA Living & Culture on the site of the former AEG factory in Terrassa. With its extensive experience in residential real estate development, the company has transformed the area into a project that will include residential and tertiary uses, with green spaces and more than 3,500m² of commercial spaces on a 60,000m² site.

In addition to the student accommodation acquired by Ardian and Rockfield Real Estate, investors specialized in student housing, ACCIONA Living & Culture's project includes a residential development with a total of 572 homes, 420 of which are already at a very advanced stage of construction. All of this is part of a new housing estate especially designed to integrate the various expected uses, in combination with several public educational and cultural facilities.

The project has been conceived under strict sustainability and eco-efficiency criteria, for both the public spaces and the buildings, with the aim of creating maximum environmental value for the city, while minimizing waste, polluting particles and CO₂ during its development.

It adds to the regeneration and urban transformation initiatives that ACCIONA Living & Culture is committed to. These include the urban regeneration project for the Zorrotzaurre Island neighborhood in Bilbao; the transformation of the Prat Vermell Marina and the renovation of the former La Seda factory site in El Prat, both in Barcelona; as well as the rehabilitation of the industrial warehouse on Ombú Street, the conversion of an obsolete office building into housing in the Fuencarral neighborhood, and the development of housing with a refined architectural design in the Tetuán district, the latter three in Madrid.
