  • €66 MILLION: The transaction comprises 17 small hydroelectric plants in Navarra and one in La Rioja

ACCIONA Energía has today closed the sale of 64MW of hydro assets in northern Spain to White Summit Capital, an infrastructure manager specializing in the energy transition. The value of the transaction amounts to €66 million.

The 64MW portfolio comprises 17 small hydroelectric plants in Navarra and one in La Rioja with capacities ranging from 1MW to 6.2MW and long-term concession agreements.

The sale represents a further step forward in ACCIONA Energía’s selective asset rotation strategy, aimed at optimizing its renewable portfolio and strengthening the group's financial profile by crystallizing value.

Since July 2024, the company has reached agreements for the sale of nearly 2.7GW of renewable capacity in Spain, Peru, Costa Rica, South Africa, the United States, and Mexico, for close to €3.3 billion.
