  • PARTNERSHIP
Bankinter's business clients will be able to access ACCIONA Energía's energy services and finance them under favorable conditions
  • SOLUTIONS
The offering includes photovoltaic self-consumption projects, battery storage, electric vehicle chargers, and aerothermal systems

ACCIONA Energía and Bankinter have signed a collaboration agreement to offer the bank’s business clients a comprehensive energy services solution for their facilities, with favorable financing conditions.

The offering includes photovoltaic self-consumption projects, battery storage systems, electric vehicle chargers, and aerothermal systems. ACCIONA Energía will provide a turnkey service encompassing consulting, project design, execution, maintenance, and energy certification. At the same time, Bankinter will facilitate investment financing under favorable terms through two of its official financing programmes: the ICO Green Line and the EIB Green Line.

A key differentiator in ACCIONA Energía’s comprehensive offering is the inclusion of applications for energy savings certificates (known as CAEs in Spain). These are electronic documents that certify the implementation of energy efficiency measures resulting in verified final energy savings. CAEs allow the monetization of energy savings, enabling partial recovery of the investment made.

To this end, Bankinter offers its business clients the opportunity to advance the value of their verified energy savings through the “CAE Advance Loan”.

Investing in self-consumption offers multiple advantages to companies: savings, by reducing reliance on electricity from the grid; access to subsidies and tax benefits; greater energy independence, reducing exposure to market price fluctuations; and alignment with decarbonization and corporate social responsibility goals, among others.

This agreement between ACCIONA Energía and Bankinter reinforces both organizations’ commitment to decarbonizing the Spanish business sector and supporting the country’s broader energy transition.

ACCIONA Energía offers its clients—including households, SMEs, large corporations, the public sector, and industry— personalized, end-to-end energy solutions. These range from the analysis of production processes to solutions for lighting, climate control, and digital energy management. All services are delivered under a business model that treats energy as a service, tailored to the specific needs of each client.
