ACCIONA Energía has been chosen to supply 100% renewable energy to the National Library of Spain for the next twelve months.

The company will supply renewable electricity certified by the Guarantees of Origin System of the National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC). The supply will cover all the electricity needs of the public entity and avoid the emission of 600 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere over the entire period of the contract.

This contract follows other agreements with public institutions in Spain, such as the Ministry of the Presidency, the Institute for the Elderly and Social Services (IMSERSO), the Carlos III National Cancer Research Centre, and the Spanish Metrology Centre. ACCIONA Energía also supplies renewable electricity to AENA, ACUAMED and various scientific and educational institutions belonging to the Consortium of University Services of Catalonia.
