  • More than 8,200 companies were evaluated when compiling this ranking.

ACCIONA is included in the 2026 Clean200 index published today by Corporate Knights and As You Sow, which ranks the 200 publicly traded companies with the highest revenues from clean economy sectors worldwide. More than 8,200 companies were evaluated when compiling this ranking, and the selection criteria was based on the percentage of their turnover aligned with Corporate Knights' taxonomy of sustainable activities. The taxonomy includes clean energy, electrification, efficiency, and enabling technologies

To be eligible, companies must derive more than 10% of their total revenue from clean activities. The ranking uses negative filters that exclude companies based on their activities (fossil fuels, weapons, harmful pesticides, etc.), their environmental policy (contribution to deforestation, obstruction of climate action, etc.), or human rights violations.

The selection incorporates research from Corporate Knights, a publishing and market intelligence group specialized in sustainability, and the Invest Your Values platform by As You Sow, a non-profit shareholder advocacy organization committed to promoting sustainability in corporate management.

Collectively, the companies in the 2026 Clean200 index derive an average of 53.7% of their revenue from sustainable activities, representing more than US$2.8 trillion in annual sustainable revenue. First launched in 2016, this ranking shows that its clean companies more than double the stock market performance of fossil fuel companies included in the MSCI ACWI/Energy index.
