ACCIONA and ACCIONA Energía are ranked among the 50 most sustainable companies in Europe, according to the 2025 Europe’s Sustainability Leaders ranking published by Corporate Knights, a leading editorial group in sustainability research and rankings.
The ranking, in which ACCIONA is listed as the top Spanish company, was published today on Corporate Knights’ website. The assessment evaluates all companies included in the STOXX Europe 600 index, as well as the top 100 listed companies based in Europe. The analysis is based on up to 25 key performance indicators (KPIs) covering resource management, employee management, financial management, sustainable revenue and sustainable investment and supplier performance.
Corporate Knights had already recognized ACCIONA as one of the world’s 100 most sustainable companies in their 2025 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporation ranking that was made public in January at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
These recognitions are a result of ACCIONA’s sustainable management and add to the company’s position in other benchmark ratings and indexes such as Sustainalytics, MSCI, Moody's ESG and CSA. The CSA rating given in its latest annual review last December ranked ACCIONA as one of the world's most sustainable electric utilities in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) and the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index (DJSI Europe).
Meanwhile, ACCIONA Energía was recently included in the Climate Change A List by CDP and in Sustainalytics’ top ESG-rated companies, recognizing it as the Spanish power utility that best manages its environmental, social, and governance risks, and one of the best in the sector worldwide.
