  • The ACCIONA-Ferrovial consortium received a special mention for its work constructing the Pulpí and Vera section in Almería, Spain

The project to link the high-speed rail network in the province of Almería, in which ACCIONA participated alongside Ferrovial, was recognized by the Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla branch of the Association of Civil Engineers as the “Best Andalusian Public Works of 2025”.

José Manuel Álvarez, manager of the joint venture (UTE), received the diploma during the award ceremony in Granada.

The organization acknowledged ADIF’s firm commitment to bringing Almería out of railway isolation and revitalizing the strategic connection with the logistic hubs of Andalusia and Europe. This will favor the economic development of the province.


PULPÍ-VERA SECTION

ACCIONA, in a consortium with Ferrovial, was responsible for constructing a stretch of more than 25 kilometers of high-speed railway Pulpí and Vera in Almería.

The project is part of the Mediterranean Corridor and involved constructing more than 20 kilometers of single-track platform and five kilometers of double track, as well as various special structures, including 10 viaducts, nine overpasses, 20 subways and six artificial tunnels.
