On October 23rd, ACCIONA, through its Facility Services division, will take part in the “Sustentabilidade Além Fronteiras” Summit, an international benchmark event to be held in Oeiras (Portugal), bringing together experts and organizations committed to innovation and sustainability.

ACCIONA will be represented by Zulima Herrero Rodríguez, Head of CMAS for the division, who will speak at the conference titled: “Sustainability: ACCIONA’s strategy at the service of our clients.”

During the presentation she will outline the evolution of ACCIONA’s sustainable commitment since 2010—the year when sustainability ceased to be an aspiration and became the cornerstone of the company’s business strategy. This journey has been structured around three key phases:

  • Responsibility (2010–2015): progressive incorporation of environmental and social variables into business management.
  • Resilience (2015–2020): implementation of sustainable practices, performance measurement, and full organizational commitment.
  • Regeneration (2021–2025): moving beyond the concept of neutrality to foster positive impacts and actively contribute to community well-being.

This strategy is embodied in the company’s Sustainability Master Plan (SMP), which guides its actions through three fundamental pillars:

  • People at the center, promoting diversity, recognition, leadership, and inclusive work environments.
  • Planet positive, through firm commitments to decarbonization, circular economy, and responsible water use.
  • Exponential leadership, built on transparency, good governance, and authenticity.

ACCIONA’s participation in this Summit—also highlighted by BSN magazine—strengthens its position as a strategic partner in sustainability, reaffirming its purpose of going beyond the traditional concept of a service provider to become a long-term ally in sustainable transformation.
