  • Social leaders from 41 organizations received training in community‑project planning

Through its Social Impact Management area, ACCIONA has launched an initiative to provide 41 social organizations in the municipality of La Serena with tools to develop and manage community projects eligible for public competitive funding.

This program, linked to the construction of the La Serena Hospital, aims to strengthen local capacities and thereby improve the quality of life for more than 7,000 people who either participate in these community organizations or benefit from their initiatives.

The training provided to community leaders is part of the Community Engagement Plan for the hospital project, which began construction in mid-2024 and is expected to be completed by 2028.

The new medical facility will be one of the most modern in the country, covering 125,384 square meters and representing an investment of US$271 million. It will enhance healthcare services in the Coquimbo Region and across the broader northern macro-zone of Chile.

With this initiative, ACCIONA reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development and to creating social value in the areas where it operates, helping communities gain more tools to launch projects that support their well-being and growth.
