- Until May 30, the company offers visitors different activities at the Plaza de Callao in Madrid
ACCIONA is sponsoring Civil Engineering Week in Madrid once again. This initiative, organized by the Madrid Association of Civil Engineers (CICCP), can be enjoyed until May 30 at Plaza de Callao (Madrid).
To celebrate the eighth edition, an attractive exhibition space open to the public will be set up under the motto “Driving sustainability”. Through immersive experiences, virtual reality, simulators, and models, visitors will learn about the advances and relevance of civil engineering in preserving sustainability in infrastructure, mobility, transport, dams, ports, roads, energy, structures, and innovative materials.
During these days, ACCIONA offers visitors different activities:
DISPLAY AREA
Throughout the week, visitors can learn about the company’s areas of expertise through various experiences. These include an explanatory model of its new technology for recycling composite materials and a virtual reality experience that allows visitors to “visit” the Umm Al Houl desalination plant in Qatar. Designed, built, and operated by ACCIONA more than eight years ago, this treatment plant supplies more than three million inhabitants. The company will also lend a 3D printer with real samples of its work to the exhibition.
