ACCIONA and its partners have successfully secured funding for the concession agreement signed with the Government of Aragon to undertake Lot 11 of the Extraordinary Road Investment Plan for Aragon’s regional road network.

The funding includes a €96 million bank loan for a term of 23 years, granted by Bankinter, Kutxabank and Unicaja and guaranteed by Assured Guaranty. The funds raised will be used for the construction phase of the project.

The project entails the design, funding, construction and operation of the Gallur–Ejea de los Caballeros section over a 25-year term. The work on this 39-kilometre stretch of the A-127 road will mainly involve the duplication of the existing carriageway on the 23.5-kilometre stretch running between the municipalities of Tauste and Ejea de los Caballeros, along with the complete renovation of the remaining 15 kilometers between Tauste and Gallur.
