- ACCIONA received the award in the Innovation and AI category at the 7th edition of the InovaInfra Awards
ACCIONA received the award in the Innovation and AI category at the 7th edition of the InovaInfra Awards, organized by O Empreiteiro magazine, for the Digital Management Center for Occupational Health and Safety developed for the Line 6-Orange project of the São Paulo subway. The center is based on an intelligent prevention model that incorporates advanced technologies for real-time management, enabling early risk detection, predictive monitoring, and support for decision-making.
After opening its first center in Madrid, which monitors the company’s projects worldwide, ACCIONA began rolling out the technology in strategic countries and projects. This was the first time the company deployed the system directly on one of its own projects.
The center serves as a strategic digital tool that redefines health and safety management by turning data into insights that optimize time and resources. Its methodology is based on map-based analysis and is structured around three main screens: the Map screen, focused on trend analysis and the definition of predictive patterns; the Data screen, which enables KPI analysis and monitoring of worksite control panels; and the Cameras, Lessons Learned, and Weather screen, which enables detailed management of worker entry and exit, as well as weather forecasting.
The center uses adaptive algorithms and an artificial intelligence-based platform capable of generating 12 types of alerts 24 hours a day on the Line 6-Orange worksites, including serious noncompliance events, critical weather conditions, improper use of PPE, proximity between vehicles and people, suspended loads, and lone worker monitoring, among others.
The preventive digital tools implemented by ACCIONA on the Line 6-Orange project have delivered significant benefits, including a reduction in workplace accidents through risk anticipation and data-driven decision-making based on real-time predictive analytics and statistics. The system also provides greater operational efficiency through task automation and the elimination of duplicative work, in addition to mobile apps that make it possible to carry out inspections, record incidents, and share reports in real time.
The center also facilitates regulatory compliance through automated records and document traceability, while strengthening the prevention culture through interactive training and the active participation of the entire team.
