Water Transport 04 NOV 2025
  • To celebrate its 25th anniversary in Italy, ACCIONA will showcase its extensive international experience in water, transportation, and sustainable mobility at the Ecomondo International Trade Fair in Rimini.

ACCIONA is once again participating in Ecomondo, the leading international trade fair that addresses the challenges of transitioning to a circular economy by presenting innovative solutions, green technologies, and cutting-edge research projects. This edition is particularly significant for ACCIONA, as it celebrates 25 years of activity in Italy.

ACCIONA will have a stand in Hall B7D7 004 at the fair, which takes place from November 4 to 7 in Rimini, Italy. There, it will showcase its main international infrastructure projects. Visitors will also be able to see the NanoCAR S04, a small electric car with a long range that the company markets in countries such as Italy. Attendees will also enjoy interactive activities, such as an immersive virtual reality experience.

Ecomondo has become an unmissable event in the sector. Last year, this benchmark fair was attended by more than 1,600 international organizations. This 2025, it is expected to maintain that global projection and welcome over 80,000 attendees.

ACCIONA will present two key presentations given by its experts at the Agorà Tiberio (Water Cycle Area Hall D8). The first will take place on Wednesday, November 5 (12:15 - 12:25), where Giulio Ricciuto, Area Manager Sardegna, will address the Treatment and management of wastewater and sewage sludge within the framework of the new directives. His talk will focus on the company's experience with the Implementation of Alternate Cycles at the Is Arenas Wastewater Treatment Plant (Cagliari).

The presentations will continue on Thursday, November 6 (14:00 - 17:30) with Mauro Casti, Water Management Staff, who will speak about Alternative water sources for drinking water, for agriculture, and for industry: desalination and reuse. He will specifically focus on the company's innovation in the design and application of Containerized Modular Desalination Plants, presenting the success story of The Sicilian experience.
