  • The initiative will provide training for professionals in the installation, maintenance and repair of water and sanitation networks

ACCIONA’s water business is launching the first edition of its Plumbing School in Peru, a technical training initiative for professionals designed to strengthen drinking water and sanitation network operations in Lima.

The program combines specialized training with hands-on field experience to develop the skills needed to work on drinking water and sewer network operations. The program will also offer participants the opportunity to develop professionally within a global company such as ACCIONA, acquiring knowledge and adopting methodologies backed by the experience of specialized teams operating in different countries.

The professionals will receive comprehensive training in the installation, maintenance and repair of drinking water and sewer networks, as well as in the main procedures associated with these operations.

Training will begin at the Chorrillos base with a theoretical phase and will continue at the operational bases in Ate, Chorrillos, San Juan de Lurigancho and Villa El Salvador, where participants will undertake field training and gain experience in real-world operating situations.

The training program will provide intensive instruction across a range of skills, with safety as a priority to ensure high-quality project execution. It will also cover materials and pipe handling, earthworks, the installation and repair of drinking water networks, sewer operations and household connections. It will also include practical training in excavation, HDPE pipe fusion, network installation, hydraulic testing, disinfection and pavement reinstatement.

The Plumbing School will help develop and strengthen local talent while reinforcing ACCIONA’s operational teams working on its water and sanitation projects.
