  • 18 people with intellectual disabilities take part in a hands-on activity at a residential development in San Antonio de Benagéber, Valencia.

ACCIONA has collaborated with Patronato Intermunicipal Francisco Esteve on an initiative aimed at fostering the social inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities and helping them learn about the construction sector.

The activity, held at a residential development in San Antonio de Benagéber, Valencia, involved the participation of 18 members of the Asociación Familias del Patronato as part of the “From the Patronato to the Site” program.

During the event, participants visited a 58-unit single-family residential development and were able to learn first-hand about construction processes, as well as take part in different hands-on activities related to the site, accompanied by ACCIONA professionals. These included helping to build a wall, carrying out signage tasks, participating in electrical installation activities and gaining basic exposure to machinery operation.

This initiative forms part of ACCIONA’s commitment to positive social impact, promoting practical learning and inclusion through direct contact with professional environments. The event concluded with the presentation of diplomas to the participants in recognition of their involvement.
