ACCIONA has implemented its Educational Energy program in seven communities in the province of Chiclayo, in the Lambayeque region, where 1,323 students and teachers participated in activities aimed at promoting environmental education, reading habits, and the responsible use of energy.

The initiative, designed in collaboration with the consulting firm Edúcame+, has been carried out at educational institutions located within the direct area of influence of the Reque Nueva Carhuaquero electricity transmission project. Its aim is to provide the educational community with content on energy, environmental protection, and sustainable development tailored to students’ learning needs.

As part of the program, ACCIONA presented “Educacuento: Kusi conserva la energía eléctrica” (“Educational Story: Kusi Saves Electricity”), an educational and recreational initiative that uses storytelling to explain the importance of responsible energy consumption. Through the story, students learned to identify simple actions they can incorporate into their daily lives to improve energy efficiency in their homes and communities.

To complement these activities, participants received a copy of the story and coloring materials. In addition, the top-performing students in the competition held as part of the initiative were recognized for their creativity, effort, and commitment to its environmental education messages.

Through Educational Energy, ACCIONA promotes learning opportunities that help raise environmental awareness from an early age and reinforces its commitment to sustainable development and the creation of shared value in the communities where it operates.
