  • The project involves the redevelopment of the iconic Światowid cinema building to house the new Nowa Huta Museum

ACCIONA - through its Polish subsidiary Mostostal Warszawa - has been awarded the contract to modernize the historic Światowid cinema building and convert it into the new home of the Nowa Huta Museum in Kraków.

Valued at more than €14 million, the contract aims to provide citizens with a modern, accessible cultural space close to the city center. The project is co-financed by the City of Kraków and the European Union through the program “European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment 2021-2027”.

The project includes refurbishing the building’s façade, extending the basement by more than 1,700 m², and constructing roof terraces. All of the building’s installations and carpentry will be renovated.

All of this will be carried out under strict conservation requirements for the city’s heritage, as the building is protected. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.

ACCIONA, through its subsidiary in Poland, has been actively contributing to the development of Kraków and the Małopolska region for years. Projects include facilities for the AGH University of Science and Technology, the modernization of the Kraków-Main railway station, the reconstruction of the Gabriel Narutowicz Hospital, and the construction of the cargo terminal at Kraków-Balice Airport.
