ACCIONA recognises its responsibility to take an active role in contributing to the sustainable development of the communities in the countries where it operates, working to improve the quality of life for the people living there.
To achieve this, ACCIONA aligns social collaboration with its business activities through sustainable, long-term projects that build trust between the company and the communities it serves. These projects are designed to enhance the company’s positive contributions, in accordance with the OECD’s Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
Designing a better planet means contributing to the sustainable development of the communities where we operate. Through our Social Action Plan, ACCIONA responds to the needs and expectations of local communities, in alignment with our business objectives, while promoting the United Nations’ Agenda 2030.
ACCIONA believes that evaluating and managing the social impact of its projects is essential—not only developing social initiatives but also enabling the company to make a meaningful contribution to sustainability in the communities where it operates. This belief is integrated across all of ACCIONA’s business lines in the countries where it is present.
Our objective is to implement specific actions for disadvantaged communities, especially in isolated rural areas, in territories where ACCIONA operates or plans to operate, enhancing access to essential services. The foundation has expanded its activity from the original three countries (Peru, Mexico and Panama) to seven new territories, with notable work in Chile, the Philippines and the Dominican Republic, as well as in rural communities across Africa and Asia.
A total of 198,899 beneficiaries were reached, equivalent to 40,968 households supported. This represents cumulative growth of 169% in the foundation’s reach in 2025 compared with December 2020.
In 2025, the foundation’s work included 2,374 hours of volunteering, directly benefiting 4,326 people in the areas where it operates.
Its aim is to promote, encourage and spread a culture of sustainability in order to help build a more responsible and supportive society.
