ACCIONA, with partner SMEC, under the Malabar System Alliance (MSA) consortium, collaborate with Sydney Water, in the development of the Malabar wastewater system renewal program, in Sydney.

The scope of the works includes the refurbishment and extension of the primary treatment processes and a new secondary treatment process in the Liverpool plant. The plants treat a combined total of 120,000 m³ per day, serving a total of two million people. The first package consists of the refurbishment and extension of two water resource recovery facilities in the suburbs of Liverpool and Glenfield.
