The project includes the design, construction and its operation and maintenance.

ACCIONA will be responsible for its development, design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance for 25 years, as well as the construction of 34 kilometers of recycled water collectors for Buraydah-2.

The Buraydah-2 WWTP is located in a rural area in the center of the country and will have a capacity of 150,000 m3 per day.

Buraydah-2 is one of three wastewater treatment plants to be built and operated by ACCIONA in Saudi Arabia for a total amount of €855 million. The combined capacity of the new plants is 440,000 m3 per day to serve a total population of 2.1 million inhabitants.

The treatment plant will have a collection well and pumping station, pre-treatment, biological reactor, sludge line, and recycled water pumping station.
