The main objective of the Stilormade project is to validate an innovative technological solution, developed by S'tile, for the design and manufacture of customized photovoltaic modules (non-standard) that adapt to the specific requirements of each client.

Objectives

The main objective of the Stilormade project is to validate an innovative technological solution, developed by S'tile, for the design and manufacture of customized photovoltaic modules (non-standard) that adapt to the specific requirements of each client.

Additionally, the cell and module design software developed by the University of Vienna, will improve and streamline the design process of customized modules.

The modules developed will be integrated into 2 specific applications, Building integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) and street solar lighting systems.

The customized modules will be installed in the skylight of an old market in the city of Montpellier (France), recently refurbished, and on the facade of the Acciona building in Barcelona as shading elements of the building. These two facilities will help to reduce the electrical bill of the property while improving the conditions of comfort and lighting indoor.

Additionally, photovoltaic modules will be integrated into solar-powered street lights to use solar radiation during the day to cover electrical consumption at night. The locations selected for this type of application are Spain, Austria and Israel

Milestones

The main milestone of the project is to achieve an 18% improvement in module efficiency with a specific operating mode (current and voltage), at the same time as a production reproducibility, operational thermal stability and mechanical flexibility of 99% with a Production cost of less than €0.7/Watt.

Such advancements will mean an improvement of 50% in the efficiency of power compared to existing conventional modules at 30% lower costs.
