ACCIONA, selected by Panama’s Ministry of Health (MINSA), is responsible for the construction, equipment supply, and maintenance of the new Hospital del Niño in Panama City, Panama. The project involves building one of the country’s leading hospital complexes, with 707 beds across the general medicine center and the adjacent Santo Tomás maternity building. The company is also responsible for restoring the gardens, rehabilitating the building for administrative services, and upgrading other adjacent facilities.

The hospital complex will include more than 165,000 m² of new construction, as well as an additional 5,700 m² of rehabilitated space. Hospital del Niño will occupy more than 89,500 m², with 463 beds and 17 operating rooms. In addition, more than 24,000 m² will be allocated for 700 parking spaces. The new Santo Tomás maternity building will have 244 beds and 30 delivery rooms.
