ACCIONA has signed the contract to build and operate an energy from waste plant in the East Tullos area of Aberdeen, in Scotland. Ness Energy project has an installed capacity of 14 MW and it is able to process 150,000 tons per year. The plant is in operation since 2023.
This energy from waste plant takes non-recyclable waste from Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, and Moray Councils and treats it cleanly and completely conforming to the latest strict European standards for emissions.
