ACCIONA, as part of the Laguna Lake Consortium alongside DM Consunji Inc., has built and operated the Laguna Lake water treatment plant in Muntinlupa, which serves a population of 6 million people.

The Laguna Lake Water Treatment Plant helps to address the problem of poor water quality in the area by employing an advanced sludge and algae treatment process, amongst other features. The project was built in two phases, eventually reaching a final treatment capacity of 150,000 m³ per day. Furthermore, as the site on which the plant is located is in a flood-prone area, it was necessary to carry out some land-filling and raise the ground level (by 5.5 metres).
