A ACCIONA começou a operar no Brasil em 1997 e realizou grandes projetos, como o Terminal 2 do Porto do Açu, em São João da Barra (RJ), onde aplicou a inovadora tecnologia Kugira, um dos maiores cais flutuantes do mundo para a fabricação de caixotões de concreto pré-fabricados.
Atualmente é a responsável pela retomada das obras da Linha 6 - Laranja de metrô de São Paulo e sua futura operação. São 15km de linhas e 15 estações que irão conectar a estação São Joaquim, na região central, com a Brasilândia.
Ele foi responsável pela emblemática transformação da antiga estação ferroviária Júlio Prestes na Sala São Paulo, considerada pelo jornal inglês The Guardian como uma das melhores salas de concertos do mundo e lar da Orquestra Sinfônica de São Paulo - OSESP.

Projeto
LINHA 6 LARANJA DE METRÔ DE SÃO PAULO
A Linha 6-Laranja de Metrô de São Paulo fará a conexão entre as estações São Joaquim e Brasilândia, em um trecho de 15km com 15 estações. Com 15 km de extensão e 15 estações, a Linha 6-Laranja de metrô de São Paulo vai ligar a Brasilândia, na zona norte, à Estação São Joaquim, na região central da cidade, reduzindo a apenas 23 minutos um trajeto que hoje é feito de ônibus em cerca de uma hora e meia. A linha deverá transportar cerca de 630 mil passageiros por dia. É a maior obra de infraestrutura em execução atualmente na América Latina, o empreendimento é uma parceria público-privada (PPP) do Governo do Estado de São Paulo com a Concessionária Linha Universidade, da qual a ACCIONA é sócia. As obras estão em execução pelo braço de construção do grupo ACCIONA, com geração de mais de 9.000 empregos. Depois de finalizada, a Linha 6 será operada pela Linha Uni por 19 anos.
