- CLEAN, RELIABLE ENERGY: The foundation will provide clean electricity through residential photovoltaic systems to more than 140 people in the San Nicolás community
- COLLABORATION: The extension of acciona.org’s activities to this province of the country will add to the positive impact of the Malolos-Clark railway project built by ACCIONA
acciona.org, ACCIONA's corporate foundation, has extended its Light at Home program to the province of Pampanga in the Philippines to provide access to clean energy to more than 140 people in the community of San Nicolás.
With the development of the Light at Home program in Pampanga, acciona.org is expanding its reach in the country, where it has been present since 2022 through its rural electrification program for communities in the province of Palawan.
The Light at Home program in Pampanga aims to deliver reliable and affordable electricity to underserved households using home photovoltaic systems and technical support from a locally managed service center, ensuring continuous access.
This initiative arose after ACCIONA’s Social Impact Management team identified energy needs in communities adjacent to the construction area of the Malolos–Clark railway line, which ACCIONA is currently building, thereby expanding the project’s positive impact. ACCIONA is constructing two sections of the Malolos–Clark railway line, which will reduce travel time to Clark Airport by two hours and prevent the emission of 60,000 tons of CO₂ annually.
acciona.org is notable for its social and sustainable management model that gets the local population involved. An affordable fee finances the community network of technical assistance, repairs, spare parts, and maintenance, managed through local customer service centers, which guarantee the service’s quality. acciona.org remains linked to the services after completion, supporting local organizations.
In the Philippines, acciona.org helps more than 15,700 people in over 3,400 homes, small businesses, schools, and other community centers, improving quality of life and promoting economic and social progress.
