• The contract with Lufthansa Group will involve the hiring of nearly 300 workers to serve the group's airlines

ACCIONA's airport services division has been awarded the contract to provide ramp services for Lufthansa Group at the Düsseldorf airport in Germany.

The contract with Lufthansa Group will involve the hiring of nearly 300 workers to serve the group's airlines, including Eurowings, which uses the airport as one of its main hubs. In total, ACCIONA will serve more than 55,000 flights a year at one of the country's main airports.

This contract award confirms the company's track record in Germany, demonstrating its commitment to innovation and sustainability, in addition to its top-quality service and high reliability.

ACCIONA was recently awarded one of the three handling licenses at the Düsseldorf airport for a period of seven years. ACCIONA, active at that airport since 2016, will be able to keep providing its services to more than 40 customers without interruption and with the same levels of quality and excellence until 2030.

The extension of ACCIONA's license at the Düsseldorf airport, the third most prominent airport in the German network after those in Frankfurt and Munich, marks a milestone for the reinforcement and expansion of ACCIONA's presence in the European aircraft ground handling market.

With almost 30 years of experience, ACCIONA is one of the leading independent operators in the sector, in which it is committed to growth based on service quality, safety and process innovation. It currently provides its services to more than 100 customers at 23 airports in Germany, Spain, Chile and the Dominican Republic.
