- Decarbonization: Thanks to this deal, two tonnes of CO2 emissions will be avoided
ACCIONA has reached a deal with Sanitas to promote sustainable mobility for employees of this insurance and health services company.
Under the agreement, Sanitas has purchased a pack of 50,000 minutes of ACCIONA's motosharing service, which it will offer to its corporate employees at its offices in Madrid, Seville, Barcelona and Valencia, cities where ACCIONA offers its shared mobility service.
ACCIONA also commits to guaranteeing the availability of its motorcycles at Sanitas' main work centers, in order to ensure that employees can count on these vehicles for their after-work commutes.
The motorcycles offered by ACCIONA, which are electric and run on 100% renewable energy, have a performance equivalent to 125cc as well as several "driving modes" that adapt to both urban and high-speed roads, reaching up to 100km/h.
This agreement will prevent at least two tonnes of CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere and will contribute to the reduction of traffic jams at rush hour.
This contract is part of ACCIONA's strategy to contribute to the decarbonization of economic activity, for which it offers sustainable proposals ranging from renewable electricity generation to resilient infrastructure, including zero-emission mobility. The company provides sustainable mobility services for both end customers and large corporations.
ACCIONA's mobility service has a fleet of 12,000 shared electric motorcycles that are available in the main cities of Spain and Italy. Thanks to them, 3,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions have been avoided since their launch in 2018.
