ACCIONA has signed a collaboration agreement with FSC Inserta, the expert entity for training and employment of the ONCE Foundation, to create environmental awareness in persons with disabilities through ACCIONA’s Advanced Environment Course. This online course, which leads to a certificate issued by the University of Alcalá, explains the terminology, main variables, regulations and international trends in the field of the environment and highlights issues related to climate change, biodiversity, energy and water.

The course has already been taken by over 3,900 employees and vendors of the company and is part of ACCIONA’s commitment to use training on the environment to create awareness among its employees and encourage the alignment of other stakeholders – such as vendors – with its corporate strategy of fighting against climate change. In 2014 ACCIONA provided more than 129,039 hours of training on the environment for its employees and it also organized a specific training program aimed at reducing the CO2 emissions of its 500 main vendors.

The agreement with FSC Inserta comes within ACCIONA’s work as a partner company in the Inserta Program of the ONCE-FSC Inserta Foundation, which works on actions to promote employment, training, accessibility and social responsibility.
