• The Company will use technological solutions to improve the efficiency and sustainability of the system

ACCIONA has been awarded the contract for the maintenance and conservation of the Automatic Water Information Networks (SAIH-SAICA-ROEA) of the Guadalquivir Water Board (CHG) through a joint venture with Schneider Electric and Solutia. The contract is for two years, extendable for another two, and has a budget of 8.4 million euros.

The Guadalquivir Water Board is a public body that reports to the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, and is responsible for the end-to-end management of the water resources in the Guadalquivir river basin.

The project sets out to maintain, conserve, extend and improve the installations that make up the Water Information Networks of the Guadalquivir Water Board to achieve greater efficiency and sustainability.

The Automatic Water Information Networks (SAIH) are the main tool for providing real-time information on the river basin and preventing adverse situations in the event of drought or flooding. These networks send early warnings to the civil protection bodies.

The system has a Data Processing Centre, located in Seville, which monitors the main variables that affect the operation of the river basin at more than 220 control points, including hydrometeorological data (rainfall, temperature or humidity) and quality control of the water (level and flow rate).
