The consortium South Fraser Station Partners , comprised of ACCIONA (33.3%), AECON and Pomerleau, has been selected by the Province of British Columbia (Canada) as the preferred proponent for the Surrey Langley SkyTrain (SLS) Project Stations contract. It includes the design and construction of eight new stations, nine power substations, three transit exchanges, and 250 metres of guideway at the terminus station.

The contract forms part of the project to extend the current Expo Line by 16-kilometres from King George Station in Surrey and to Langley City Centre, providing a fast, frequent, reliable, and sustainable transit option for people across the region.

Financial close of the project is expected in the second quarter of 2024.

By the year 2050, projections indicate that the City of Surrey, the City of Langley, and the Township of Langley will see their population increase by 420,000 people with 147,000 new jobs.

The demographic growth will increase the demand for transportation in the area, with the SLS helping to meet that demand.
