ACCIONA finishes modernization work on the Katowice Hotel (Poland)

After nearly 60 years in operation, the company has carried out a comprehensive refurbishment of the emblematic building to convert it into a four-star hotel

ACCIONA - through its Polish subsidiary Mostostal Warszawa - has completed the comprehensive modernization of the emblematic Hotel Katowice, located in the Polish city of Katowice, after almost 60 years in operation.

The €30 million project included reconstructing the interior, modernizing systems, and completely renovating the facilities to meet the standards of the contemporary tourism and business hotel market.

These actions have been carried out while respecting the distinctive character of this 1960s building. Many of its original architectural details have been restored, as has its emblematic façade. Additionally, the neon sign “Hotel Katowice”, one of the city’s most recognizable symbols, has been preserved on the roof.

Following its complete refurbishment, the hotel will operate in the four-star category under the voco hotel group.
