Cabo Rojo International Airport (Dominican Republic)
Constructing the first runway at the new Cabo Rojo International Airport in Pedernales (Dominican Republic) demanded complex logistics due to the site’s
remote location and difficult terrain. ACCIONA’s scope of work includes a 3.1 km long, 60 m wide runway designed to accommodate large aircraft, including the Boeing 777.
Al Khobar II Desalination Plant (Saudi Arabia)
The construction of the Al Khobar 2 desalination plant in Saudi Arabia required complex logistics to transport large-scale equipment and components to the site. It is one of the largest reverse osmosis desalination plants in the country, with a capacity of 630,000 m³/day.
Tahivilla Wind Farm (Spain)
The repowering of the Tahivilla wind farm in Cádiz, southern Spain, involved replacing 98 legacy wind turbines with 13 modern units from Nordex. This upgrade required the transport of large-scale components, including blades up to 80 metres long, supported by specialised transport, port operations, and meticulous route planning.
