Key points

Pre-treatment: Large particle screens, sifting, desanding and influent flow metre.

Secondary treatment: Biological treatment of active sludge through prolonged airing and elimination of nitrogen through simultaneous nitrification-denitrification. O² input / Mud recirculation / Sedimentation.

Mud treatment: Thickener and dehydration.

Miscellaneous: Tertiary treatment and deodorising.
