Improvement, service and management and maintenance

In 2002, ACCIONA carried out Improvement, Service and Management works at the plant, which is located in Cagliari is Arenas and has the capacity to treat 260,000 cubic metres of water a day, making it the largest on the island of Sardinia. In addition, during this three-year contract, the sludge line was upgraded. The biological water treatment was transformed through the installation of 16,000 membrane diffusers and four turbocompressors, providing service to more than 1.1 million inhabitants.
