Terminal of one of the most important cities in Spain Catalonia, Spain See on Google Maps
The project for the New T1 Terminal at Barcelona Airport was carried out by a multidisciplinary technical team consisting of the Bofill Architecture Studio and ACCIONA Ingeniería, as part of the services provided under the Barcelona Plan of AENA (Spanish Airports Authority).

The main hall, under the roof in the form of a wing, receives a lot of natural light through linear skylights; the main dock (700 meters long) and two lateral docks evoke the shape of a sword; finally, the intermodal station provides a direct underground connection between Terminal 1 and the Metro network, the High Speed Train and the suburban train network of Barcelona. Around 15,000 employees work in Terminal 1 and the throughput of passengers is up to 100,000 a day.

The basic project and the construction project for the new Satellite Terminal at Barcelona Airport were also designed by the multidisciplinary team consisting of the Bofill Architecture Studio and ACCIONA Ingeniería. The Satellite is located opposite Terminal between the two existing runways parallel to the sea. It has an aerodynamic design that simultaneously evokes the shape of a bird and a plane.

Around 15,000 employees work in Terminal 1 and the throughput of passengers is up to 100,000 a day.
