ACCIONA in the Middle East

ACCIONA has had a strong presence in the Middle East since 2008, with projects in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman.

It has participated in the development of emblematic projects such as the extension of the Dubai metro and the construction of the Jebel Ali desalination plant in the United Arab Emirates; the construction and subsequent extension of the Umm Al Houl desalination plant in Qatar; as well as six desalination plants and three wastewater treatment plants in Saudi Arabia.

    Saudi Arabia

    ACCIONA is present in Saudi Arabia, mainly in water treatment and supply, infrastructure construction and engineering. In addition, the company has already established strategic agreements with local investment funds for renewable energy projects.


    ACCIONA is also present in Qatar, offering different types of hospital and cultural centre services, as well as engineering and civil works projects. But perhaps one of the most important solutions it provides in the country are seawater desalination projects to ensure access to this vital resource in one of the most water-stressed areas of the planet.

    Kuwait y Oman

    ACCIONA also develops projects related to water supply, construction of all types of infrastructure and offers different services in Kuwait and Oman.

    United Arab Emirates

    ACCIONA established its first office in the Middle East in the United Arab Emirates in 2008. Since then, Dubai has served as a base for developing the company's business in the Gulf and other Arab countries. ACCIONA has permanent establishments in the Emirates of Dubai and Fujairah and also has branches in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
